Shobha is NYC's hair removal expert salon that offers a variety of services (threading, sugaring, waxing) , products (for men or for women) and classes.
Inside the package I received from Shobha was a fold-out letter and a super cute blue envelope enclosing the 100% natural exfoliating cloth. The cloth is made from 100% plant fibers. Even the exfoliating cloth package was made from stones, NOT TREES and ec-friendly inks.
Your skin is constantly shedding cells throughout the day. The older we get, the more uneven our skin becomes and it gives us the dull, dry, rough character. During the removable of hair you leave the pore exposed. These dead skin cells, along with bacteria, move into the now exposed follicle and causes red bumps and irritation.
Exfoliation removes that outer-layer of skin cells revealing a brighter, newer skin underneath. You should exfoliate the skin before shaving or after waxing or sugaring (It's best to wait 48 hours after hair removal!) to help unclog your pores to help reduce bumps or irritation.
Women aren't the only ones who should worry about exfoliating though, it's just as important for men, too. Exfoliating will expose the hair follicle and help get a better, cleaner shave.

DON'T FORGET TO MOISTURIZE! We all know that dry skin aids in wrinkle development. Shobha also has some great pre-care and after-care lotions, too! Check out the whole product line here!

This exfoliating cloth is gentle enough to use daily. It's a flawless way of ensuring you have properly prepped your skin before shaving or cleaning your skin after waxing.
In the shower, or bath, soak your cloth in warm water and wring out the excess water. A really neat feature of this cloth is after it's wet, you can add your favorite body wash, or soap, or use it 'naked' with just water.
Now that you're either lathered up, or using plain, to exfoliate your body apply pressure using a circular motion for the body and to exfoliate your bikini area apply pressure using an up/downward stroke motion. If you are prepping for shaving, you are ready to shave. If you are exfoliating after sugaring, don't forget to moisturize!
All you have to do now is rinse the cloth and allow it to dry in a well-ventilated area. After a few uses, you can machine-wash it with like colors on a gentle cycle and air dry it, like before.
I have been sugaring for the past few weeks. I haven't had any bumps at all and I contribute this all to Shobha's exfoliating cloth. I always wait until the day after sugaring and exfoliate my legs, bikini area and even my underarms. Before this cloth, I always had red dots on my legs and would have "razor" rash on my bikini area. Not anymore. My legs are so silky and smooth, it's incredible.
Shobha is also allowing me to give one lucky reader an exfoliating cloth just like I reviewed! Keep your eyes peeled for your chance to win! :)
