BrownSugarShop Sugaring Paste Review!

It's summer! It's time to start sporting our bikini's and we all want a CLEAN bikini line! 

But Have you ever tried waxing? It HURTS! I have always had a hard time with depilatory creams and waxes. I had just about given up on waxing or any kind of hair removal, other than shaving. Shaving takes SO long and my hair is so coarse and thick and grows back very quickly. Waxing literally pulls the skin off and misses so many hairs!

I received a duo from Lisa at the BrownSugarShop Etsy shop that included Sugaring Paste and After Sugaring Serum. The package was wrapped in glittery tissue paper and even came with two applicators wrapped so cute. Home shops always have so much care and though put into the wrapping and packaging.

I was eager to try Sugaring Paste. I unwrapped the package. We had an unusual cold snap down here and the sugaring paste, would should be kept at a pretty cool level normally, was solid. 

After a few hours, the Sugaring Paste was pliable enough to start working with. I opened the sugaring paste, took a small amount onto the applicator stick and placed it on my leg. I smoothed it down three times. I then quickly pulled the sugar wax, pulling in the direction of hair growth. I was amazed. 

It didn't hurt! The hair came right off. The best part is the sugaring paste can be used over and over.

Over the next few days I worked in small areas, pulling the hair off. You should definitely stay in an air conditioned room while waxing though, it starts to warm up with your body heat and can start to get a little sticky. I learned that even when the sugar started getting a little sticky, I could hold it in front of the air conditioner vent and it would blast it with a cool shot. The wax would harden back up enough I could reapply and rewax. 

I was so amazed with this Sugaring Paste. This Sugaring Paste only sticks to the hair and disintegrates in water. You are still pulling the hair from the root but it's a pretty ouchless, heatless hair remover. Not to mention it left me hairless and I didn't have ANY razor bumps or red spots or bumps!

The underarm area was a little sensitive after a few passes but it felt refreshed and cool after I applied the after sugaring serum.

 The after Sugaring serum has azulene oil which contains anti inflammatory properties and aloe juice that is very moisturizing and helps soothe any irritation.

I even did my bikini area! Sugaring Paste gives a new meaning to "I'd rather give myself a bikini wax." I would gladly stay home and bikini sugar wax anytime! 

The Sugaring Paste can be used over and over until the paste stops grabbing or the wax becomes full of hair.

This is truly an awesome concept! 

I had a great conversation with Lisa, owner of BrownSugarShop about how she came up with this idea. This Sugaring Paste is similar to the other recipes you can find floating around online. Lisa became quite obsessed with trying to perfect this recipe after a random YouTube video sparked her curiosity. None of the other recipes worked quite right. After many tries, and bless her brave husband's heart for being so supportive, she stumbled onto her "secret" ingredient that changed it all! She has perfected the Sugaring Paste recipe and has gained a customer for life in me! :)
